Ok, I've been thinking about this phenomenon for sometime, more so since 2016. Poorly/mis- educated, enormous economic and social stress, horrible nutrition all add up to a dysfunctional populace. And that effect is greater in "red" counties. How does this work in the longrun for the GOP? Less voters means less votes. smh.

FYI, your concern is no longer about the "long run." The GOP is well into the "overthrowing democracy to install a dictatorship" phase at this point.
