Looking for something to fill the soon-to-be gaping hole that will be left in the absence of Apollo.

There are two candidates called mlem and memmy, which are currently available through TestFlight .

Memmy is updated almost daily at this point, the App has come a long way just this week even

Memmy is my favorite of them all so far. Gestures are too good to lose after being an Apollohead. Dev has been killing it with updates too.

I’ve been browsing using Mlem and Memmy since June 12th. Both are still heavily in the works but they are coming along quickly!

You need to install TestFlight to use either, since they are in beta.

The original author quit, but he said he handed over everything to other devs. So no need (yet) to state stuff like "going dark".

Sounds like the app is just transferring ownership and might rebrand.

Hope the developer is ok, sounds like this is weighing heavily on them.

There are between 10 and 20 people actively working on the app in various capacities, there was an update on team structure couple of days ago - https://lemmy.ml/post/1372165 It is the original dev who is stepping down and who says he wasn’t actively involved with development for a while.
