I had a roasted rice tea that sounded so unique and interesting! And it was way too unique for me haha. I hear a lot of people like it, and I'm happy for them.
Roasted rice is best used as an additive for other teas, particularly oolong, and anyone who disagrees is entitled to their opinion.
Maybe try a different one? I drink these semi often but I would say that they are generally considered as basic in flavors. I can't imagine them being something someone would have any strong feelings about either way.
Oh you're talking about Genmaicha. I really like it on a winter's day, but my wife hates hates it. I get it. It's weird.
What kind of roasted rice tea? Genmaicha? Maybe try different brand of it?
I got a bag of genmaicha mint tea as a gift years ago, it was really good! But after opened and sitting in the cupboard for a while it got really bitter. I should've drank it faster.
Maybe what they had was just stale?
It's probably just stale...
Also, genmaicha mint sounds like abomination...
