Dunking on Tankies from a leftist perspective.

A tankie is someone who defends/supports authoritarian or even totalitarian regimes who call themselves "socialist". The term originated from people supporting the 1956 invasion of Hungary by the Soviet Union. Nowadays they are just terminally online, denying genocides, and falling for totalitarian propaganda and calling such regimes "true democracies". remember to censor usernames when necessary.

Please be sure to obscure usernames on posts to prevent doxxing.

A few years ago, the Lemmy Developers decided to keep their political views on lemmygrad while keeping lemmy.ml more neutral. Now they are banning users who are critical of their actions and bigotry.

Anti-Tankie posts may put you at risk of being banned from commenting and posting on the lemmy.ml instance.

It was federated to kbin so I don't really know how to look it up any better than that.

You don’t see the issue of the Developers blocking only one specific community for no reason? You don’t think that’s counter-productive towards what Lemmy.ml strives to achieve, which is diversity and varied opinions?

Isn't this lemmy.world? I always thought lemmy.ml was more just the first instance, not the one aiming towards diversity. I'd usually recommend someone to lemmy.world if they wanted just a general server.

It doesn't work. How many times do I have to say this? It was a moderated thread and is deleted. The posts are gone at this point.

I don't go purposely following groups to harass them so I talked with this person in this thread and moved on. I didn't screenshot them. Just like i'm posting here because it was on the front page of kbin. The most I could ever give you is the comment saved that I made towards that user.
