Problem is, I'm not seeing any posts that I make from lemmy.world on lemmy.ml (while signed into lemmy.ml). Maybe there's something I'm not aware of with how federation works, but afaik these posts should be showing up while signed in on lemmy.ml with my account there.
Are you looking for them under a specific account ie. https://lemmy.ml/u/DarraignTheSane wouldn't show posts as https://lemmy.world/u/DarraignTheSane. I was under the assumption that accounts on different instances are not the same even with the same name, but I could be dead wrong.
I'm not looking for the posts under my account - just while I'm logged into lemmy.ml as lemmy.ml/u/DarraignTheSane I'm going to lemmy.ml/c/sysadmin, and this post (and a comment I made the other day on an existing thread) as lemmy.world/u/DarraignTheSane do not appear.
I.e. this whole conversation does not appear for anyone logged into lemmy.ml right now as far as I can tell.
There seems to be federation issues between these two instances 😞
Same issue with subscriptions. All my subscription for lemmy.ml stay pending...
Yeah I was thinking it might be related, but @hurp_mcderp pointed out, when I logged out of lemmy.ml and back in again using my account there, this post now shows up. Maybe it just needed to be turned off and then on again. :D
Interesting. It's working for me as anon so I'm assuming federation is working. Not sure why it wouldn't work when logged in.
hello from lemmy.ml
I didn't think to log out and check it, but sure enough there it is. Weird. (edit) - And it's there for me now when I log back in on lemmy.ml. Weirder.
Go into your settings and make sure you've chosen English and Undefined.
I had the same issue until I did this. I assume there's some language definition issues between instances causing the bugs.
Hmm... my lemmy.ml account was correct (both "Undetermined" and "English" selected), but for some reason all languages were deselected on my lemmy.world account. Maybe that had something to do with it...?
Mine was the same, fixing it made things appear.
