So they're getting the 29th and 32nd this year for the 40th this year and 27+ next year? Sounds like a swindle to me. I just don't see the benefit for the Pacers unless they greatly value pushing their assets down the line.
It's not the 27th+ pick. It's the worst pick of what they got from OKC (Houston, OKC, Utah, LAC). So it could be a pick in the teens-20's most likely.
Pacers had like 5 picks in this year's draft. (7, 26, 29, 32, 55). They are basically kicking the can down the road a little bit and will be able to bring in multiple rookies next year, instead of 5 rookies this year, which they don't have the roster room for.
