Why does my PC need a flat UI? Gimme back my drop shadows.
I'm really not a fan of shadows everywhere. They look a bit tacky. I've always liked flatter uis with maybe a VERY subtle shadow for navigation, but not shadows on every fuckin element
They'll come back eventually... Design concepts/trends are cyclical :)

Flat UIs with a few shadows in the right places can look geat
Return to aero. An upgraded windows 7 aero would be baller
XP was my favourite. Why yes, I do wear bifocals.
