This is my first post, I just signed up. I was on reddit from the early days. I liked it then a lot more. This has that feel. I also like that it is open source - hopefully that will bring more developers.
I was there for the digg to reddit switch in 2010, and this drama feels just like déjà vu.
Samesies. We came from Digg, stumbleupon, Fark, icanhascheezburger etc. time for a new frontier.
And before that, bulletin boards and chatrooms. I had online sex in Bianca's Smut Shack! Or I tried to - it flopped (literally) because I can touch-type with one hand but the poor fellow I was sexting with was a hunt-and-pecker.
I'm an old reddit account, I switch when the blackout happened. I'm getting use to things here. I have removed my shortcuts to reddit syc replaced it with Jerboa.
I like it here, is there all my subs. Nop. But It feels fresh like reddit before.
Also the syc dev might start working on a lemmy app.
Be the change you want to see in the world and re-make the subs you loved! Then invite all your friends from those subs!
