alternatively, it's infuriating speaking to someone like this who interupts constantly and does not let an idea get developed.

Totally. Also now that I understand I have ADHD and understand how it manifests, I know I am annoying. And I try to avoid this and dozens of other off-putting behaviors.

Maybe that's why I find interacting with strangers so exhausting lol.

I mean I get your point, but remember it is not that they doing it on purpose.

Yeah but while you are trying to fill in the gaps so you can get out of the conversation easier you are literally getting everything wrong and making the conversation take longer and be more confusing than if you had just taken 30 damn seconds to actually listen

Source : my wife does this daily

Sounds like something that would be worthy of being called a disorder.

I guess it is hard to learn the right behaviour.

that's fine. but often the start of the idea is just leading the actual point. so if you interior you have not actually heard the point that the other person wants to make. and the conversation has been totally detailed. and it just continues to go on like that.

I've got PTSD from these types of discussions.

That doesn't make it any less debilitating to be on the receiving end of it for someone who also has ADHD. And for those who don't know what's going on, it smacks of extreme arrogance.
