MODERATORS

In the post shared by Musk, the account lamented the presence of humanitarian groups in the Mediterranean Sea that rescue migrants from distressed vessels.

"These NGOs are subsidized by the German government," the account posted. "Let's hope AfD wins the elections to stop this European suicide."

I am really really sure that the American constitution says he's ineligible to run.

Could the existing corruption in the US worsen to the point that the constitution is ignored ? Possibly but it will be overt civil war plus or minus 2 months of that happening.

Could the constitution be amended to remove that clause ? Yes absolutely there have been a number of successful amendments but I am very very sure that it's an amendment that would fail while rule of law still maintains a toehold. It would require Democrat support which won't happen easily.

In short yes of course, anything is theoretically possible, the US could descend into a Mad Max hellscape next year too,

BUT it is highly unlikely and the only way Musk is a presidential candidate is either a) amendment or b) rule of law has ceased
