They claim one of their dads came up with the name when the girls were like 15. Is it more likely that some kids from Canberra decided to intentionally rip off an obscure New York band that released maybe 12 songs nearly 45 years ago, or that someone came up with a catchy name that coincidentally sounds similar?

Teenage Jesus / Lydia Lunch are hugely influential bands in early punk and new wave. Not saying the girls copied the name, but their dad definitely did lol.
