You can look into EU's GDPR if you want to advocate for personal data protection. I guess similar legislation could be implemented in the US at the state level. Also, is there going to be a trial so that people can get a nice $25 check?
Probably closer to $0.25 check so lawyers can get their well deserved cut.
I actually just got $61.08 from the Yahoo settlement the other day.
