That's fair, just saying all major powers historically crush the smaller ones in various ways given the chance. Not to say we should not oppose it but it does appear to be human nature. Or at least the nature of the nation state.
Almost disagreed with you until the last words. Yes, that is the nature of states. Human nature is extremely moldable.
