Proposed flag of Malta, replacing the George cross with a Maltese cross. The George cross is seen by some as a colonial symbol, and the appropriateness of a military award on a flag is also questioned (upload.wikimedia.org)

The George cross is indeed a British military award, that Malta received in 1942 for its bravery in WWII.

Considering only three institutions have received the George cross, being Malta, the Royal Ulster Constabulary and the UK's National Health service, shouldn't it be displayed more proudly? 😂
