Not sure exactly how many days it's been, but I've been alcohol-free for roughly 4 months now.

My secret: get a doctor to tell you that your incurable autoimmune disease can get worse due to alcohol.

In all seriousness though, I've wanted to quit years ago, but now I'm glad I've got a legit excuse, which is also convenient to give to my friends and colleagues: "sorry mate, doc said that I can't drink, autoimmune condition and all...".
