Special Guest Star: the Federation HQ set from "Star Trek: Discovery"
Formerly the S31 ship in season two and the Sheng’Zhou in season one, I believe.
We’ll see it again in Discovery season five, but it may be its last outing in terms of production date.
CBS seems to be getting every last bit of staging they can out of that enormous Pinewood Toronto soundstage they had under longterm lease. (Pinewood Toronto is on city land and partially owned and managed by Bell Media.)
It sounds as though they’ll be letting the Pinewood spaces go now that Discovery has wrapped. The Toronto EPs Frank Siracusa and John Weber convinced CBS Studios lease space and establish their own soundstages in the region. CBS Stages in Mississauga opened the fall before the COVID pandemic. It’s where the main sets for SNW are located, and Starfleet Academy is expected to be produced.
When you have a kickass two-level set, it'd be a shame to waste it.
Just shows how good the redress was.
