TL;DR: Bloons TD 6 launches in Wayland but not at all in Xorg. And Wayland performance sucks in KDE with NVIDIA Optimus so sticking with Wayland is a no for me. Tested with both Heroic Games launcher flatpak and the system package. What’s weirder is that last time I installed it, the game ran fine in Xorg

Hello! I’m having issues with Heroic Games launcher, both with the system package and the flatpak. I’m running Arch Linux so I’m expecting that there’s something I’m missing here (maybe some obscure package that I don’t know about). If NVIDIA would work in Wayland with KDE as well as it does with GNOME (although I only tested on Fedora) I wouldn’t be making this post but oh well here i am.

Yes. I’ve searched the fine wiki. No I didn’t find anything that could be useful. Not even in the forums. Nor Reddit. Thank you for your time reading and for any advice!

Can You run it with Proton or Proton-GE on Heroic?

I'm currently trying to launch it with Wine-GE-Proton8-8. Last time it was stuck configuring Wine. Looks like it's happening again. Running the system package, if it doesn't work I'm trying the flatpak again

Could You try Proton-GE-Proton(or latest)? You can find it in the Wine Manager tab in Heroic (You have to switch option from WINE-GE to PROTON-GE at the top, and refresh list)

Sorry for late reply. In the end I installed Fedora. For some reason its heroic flatpak experience is flawless for me, even in Wayland. In Arch I tried GNOME but it didn't install Wayland for some reason so the game wouldn't launch in X. But thanks for the help anyway!
