As someone who loves using rifles, this patch is great! it brings all the rifles up to being really solid weapons, and all of them feel viable to use now (at least in PvE, I don't do PvP so can't comment there). I'm a little sad that the Harris wasn't buffed as it's my favorite weapon, but considering I always have used it because it was already strong, it's fair to leave it as is.
Can't wait for the PvP balance patch, as hopefully it brings even more weapons up to snuff for PvE as well. There are a lot of weapons that feel kind of useless right now, and others that just completely overshadow everything else with how powerful they are. But this patch is a great first step!
Honestly brought me back. Don't have time to do more then a few runs at bosses that beat my weak ass at night, and this patch finally pushed me over the hump with ARs to hit the next 4 missions and all of the next tier of arena fights in the hour I had today. So much fun again.
I'd actually uninstalled AC6 after 100%ing it and not wanting to fight 10 zimmerman builds in a row in PvP. How are the rifles in PvP would be a good counter for Zimmms and Missiles if its not garbage in mid/long range?
Just looking for a reason to re-download.
I tried a dual Harris/Ransetsu build on PVP last night and it was pretty fun. I have missiles and a sword in my pocket for exploiting openings. You kite away from melee/zimmerman builds, can be agile enough to dodge most heavy weapons or missiles, and still close in on other people who might kite you. Not top tier, but definitely playable.
