If I take magic initiate warlock and then grab eldritch blast as my cantrip and hex as the level 1 spell, is that a good decision? It says you can only cast the level 1 spell once per long rest but if the concentration is maintained can I still recast it like I can with Wyll?

Or would it be better to just take actor? My charisma is at 17 so that'll go to 18, deception will increase to 12 and performance to 13.

Not sure which way to go.

I’m curious whether taking the magic initiate feat for warlock is better than a multiclass dip (and how well Warlock synergises with Bard to begin with); something to consider as well is that you’re a full spell caster, so I’d imagine you’re basically always going to have something better to concentrate on than a level 1 hex. But yes, you would be able to re-target that hex just like a typical warlock.

As far as whether actor is better, what sort of bard are you going for? You already got expertise in 2 skills at level 3; what did you put it towards?

I decided to go with actor, magic initiate warlock seems to not be worth it in the long run as I won't get the addition stuff that warlocks get to enhance eldritch blast. I like getting past obstacles through persuasion and stuff so actor seems like a good choice.
