3 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

I haven't used SSL since last September. Very nice to bring it out again. An absolutely wonderful scent.

And this little Parker brush gets very little use. It is the first brush I bought when I decided to move back to a DE, brush and soap. It's very inexpensive, and it loses hairs with each use, but boy does it perform.

The Smart Helix Apollo differs from the Apollo Light in that it comes with a two-sided plate that provides either 0.5mm or 0.85mm gap. The Light comes with two plates, one with less blade exposure than the other. The Apollo is a little heavier than the Apollo Light because of this, and perhaps other weight-saving measures. That doesn't bother me a bit. This is one of my favorite DEs.
