Hi, I am looking to buy a new laptop for both gaming and productivity loads.

Which brands are generally reliable for laptop? Say for a 1000$?

I have a 3 year old legion that i still use as my daily driver for work (need ed a GPU) and I second the recommendation.

It's quite solid, i opened it once to slot in my previous laptop's hdd and the process was painless, and aside for the battery not being as good as it used to be after 3 years, it's shown no sign of wear and tear.
