I love Liv for Cakes. I've made five or six of her cakes now. They taste great and they're decorated so simply, yet elegantly. Unfortunately this cake didnt come out so great. Obviously I was unable to get a nice mottled effect in the icing, that's on me. But the cake was flavorless, and for that I blame, not Liv, but Lor-Ann.
I've tried another cotton candy flavoring that was strong. I've used other Lor-ann flavorings that were strong. But there's no cotton candy flavor in this cake. The frosting tastes like butter. Thankfully I put a layer of strawberry crunch between the layers, so that gives a little flavor.
