Had a wall around this big house with a long winding driveway and a big ass gate. Worked in construction and often had debt collectors outside trying to get in. But he had these two big ass dogs that made that difficult. He was an angry dude. One time I saw one of his dogs down the road -- this is in the countryside near a highway. When I got home I saw him driving up the driveway. His gate was open so I walked up to let him know. The two dogs were agro but I'm pretty used to dogs and I knew this pair were territorial but they weren't dangerous. The guy on the other hand, he was dangerous. Once he saw me in at the end of his drive he made B line for me, and I could see that this dude was a man who was used to solving problems with violence. I'm not a violent person but I've seen enough to know when I should be concerned. He walked with fast steps, his head low. As he was walking the electric gate closed behind me. I called out before he reached me, that I saw his dog down the road. He was confrontational, 'how is that your concern?' Asshole behaviour but I knew well enough not to escalate. I told him I like dogs - I do - and I just thought he ought to know. He just nodded and told me to get out.

It was a brief interaction but it left an impression on me. I later found out the dude ran drugs and prostitutes. He bet a man half to death with a pool que and a bar he owned.
