Just joined Lemmy myself!

For mobile apps I use Wx by Joshua Tee on Android. It has Level 3 and Level 2 data plus a ton more. It's free and if you like to tinker with stuff, it has a ton of settings to make it work for you. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=joshuatee.wx

I also use an app called "Severe Weather Alerts". It lets you fully customize exactly what types of alerts you get on your phone and how you get them (ie. notifications, audible warnings, etc.) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.severeweatheralerts

I also use this mobile site for lightning tracking: map.blitzortung.org

For desktop, I was using a trial version of GR2Analyst but the full version cost like $250. As an alternative I recently stumbled on a project that is in development. It's called "Supercell WX" and it's awesome! Currently on Pre-release 3. Some links below but you should definitely check it out.

Website: https://supercell-wx.readthedocs.io/en/latest/#

Discord for development discussion: https://discord.gg/S2jxNMfG (it says this link expires in 7 days?)

Github to download the program: https://github.com/dpaulat/supercell-wx/releases

I LIKE the lightning tracking site! That will come in handy.

I use a Mac, so it doesn't appear that Supercell will work for me, but it looks to be a very cool project.

Yeah. I think they have a version for Linux too but you might be able to run it in a virtual environment I don't know for sure though.
