The really cool kids know that Discord is not a replacement for a forum/subreddit/magazine.

Yeh and the kids don't know that discord is the cancer of the free internet. Gatekeeping content behind phone number requirements for registration and non searchable content on the internet because walled garden.

Unlike reddit or lemmy/kbin/forums.

I also think it's super hypocritical to moan about reddit but then using a walled garden like discord that also is run by a shady company.
