I got some new bits for my two main guitars. I've got a pair of Yamaha Pacificas, a 2021 model 112J, Strat type, and a 1995 model 102S, Tele type, and the Strat's got a vibrato bridge but goes out of tune when I use it too hard, while the Tele's got a hardtail but height screws on the bridge are too long and poke your hand, as well as making palm muting unnecessarily hard. So I went to Graphtech and invested in some TUSQ bridge saddles, nuts, and string trees.
So far I have installed the string trees, and am going to wait until the next time I restring the guitars to install the other bits. But given that those guitars live most of the time at the music school where I work, and other people are allowed to play them, it's probably not all that long before they're due a new set.
I also posted about it over at /c/[email protected], if that's your scene. Although I think I mucked up that link.
You got the essential bit of the community name down, so you're good! Folks can copy [email protected] and add a little ! at the start to find it, but juuust in case, I got URL:
https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]
So if they're just seeing us, they can copy that over to their search.
Sweet, thanks!
