Never got this warning on the reddit version. Its a Samsung S10+

Sync for Reddit was a mature app that had plenty of time to be optimised for performance, stability and reduced power usage.

Sync for Lemmy on the other hand while it uses a lot of the same code as its predecessor it's still less than a month old & still in beta.

It's going to take time for Lemmy to work out the bugs in their software and for Sync to become as refined as its predecessor.

I, for one, love it - because it enables Jlaw to hit the ground running on the backend. Everyone already knows and loves the UX. Just need to work out the optimizations like you said.
