Quoting is coming though. Well, if the lack of nudes in Twitter searches on #reddit while blackouts happen are a fundamental problem, then I don't know what to say. Algorithms are helpful for content like my use case. Otherwise I just have to mute or even unfollow a great account, because otherwise the feed is unusable. What is problematic are algorithms tailored to drive engagement with harmful effects or ad money in mind. I should be able to choose which algorithm I would like to use.
You realise down and upvoting is an algorithm and it obviously it has its issues. Mastodon already uses them in the Explore Posts feed.
