Time to travel outside Heathrow to London suburbs (self.london)

I'll be travelling through Heathrow later this summer and have an 8 hr layover. How long would it take to get to the suburbs in north or south London like Enfield Town or Sutton?

Sutton isn't too hard to get to and from Heathrow with the X26 Bus, typically about an 1 hr 15 min journey.

now? with traffic, strikes, etc.? or typically that was the time?

Worst case I'd say about just over 1 hr 40min but typically you should expect between 1 hr 10 min and 1 hr 30 min.
