What it says on the tin. What post punk or related genera group has been dominating your playlist recently. Going back to enjoy the classics? Why. Found something really great and new? Who. Your chance to share.

For the last week it's been Cold Cave for me. Specifically several tracks off "Cherish the Light Years". So many of the tracks are sonically bright and cheery but still dark and vast at the same time. I find myself going back to it regularly.

Giving them a listen now. Personally I've been revisiting a lot of Clan of XYMOX since seeing them in Portland last week. Also Cloud of Ravens, which opened for them and Sisters of Mercy when they were here. Lets see...Actors, Bellwether Syndicate, IAMX, Diorama and whatever the spotify algorithm generates. I've largely been away from exploring the scene for a few decades and just recently am rediscovering what is out there.

I keep hearing people mention Cloud of Ravens but have failed to check them out so far I think I'll fix that tonight. And yeah you can't go wrong with xymox clan or otherwise. Diorama has always been a favorite. Actors I only ran across a couple years ago but have really enjoyed the several albums they've had. Bellweather syndicate I think the only release one album or EP? I may be a little behind on them. But I always know instantly whenever nightwatch comes up on a playlist or 101 go. All that definitely makes for a nice packed playlist for sure. ๐Ÿ‘

Okay yes. Listening to cloud of Ravens at work and definitely feeling that. Reminds me a bit of terminal gods before they lost a guitarist.
