This was the first app that I heard about and the icons look absolutely incredible. But tbh I find the user interface to be not very iOS like and dislike it quite a bit. Still sticking with voyager as my main app for now.

For sure lmk the elements that aren't iOS enough! So far I have redoing the dialogs in my list. Already try to use as many native components underneath.

I‘m not saying everything has to look iOS native, that’s just my personal preference. I’m sure others have different opinions on that. Regarding what elements don’t look iOS native: many of them. The list view strikes me as one of the biggest differences: font sizes (headers too big, items too small), spacing too big. Also not the default inset group list style which makes it feel a bit dated. I also think the tab bar and navigation bar border is too prominent (same goes for the comments view, the separators on dark mode are way to bright imo).

Regarding the post interaction, the back swipe for some reason starts too far towards the center and isn’t limited to the edge. Which is unfortunate since the upvote requires a really long swipe if I want to do it in one motion. There’s a very narrow point where I have to start swiping to not go back and still have enough space to do the upvote.

I’m loving the image transition when going to a post, though. And it’s been running great so far, well done :) I‘m just very picky regarding what UI/UX I prefer^^

Agree with the list view not feeling iOS native. I also find that the bottom tab bar being solid in color while the top navigation bar being translucent a bit weird - I prefer both to be translucent. Of course, I get that the devs and designers have made these design choices for a reason/because of their preferences so I’m not really complaining!

For a beautiful Lemmy app that looks 100% iOS native, just take a look at Bean.

I thought I had already tried every client out there, but I haven’t come across bean yet. Pretty nice one, thanks for the hint :)

…which I realize is funny because Voyager is just a web view without any native elements, but it looks and (mostly) feels native.
