CDR is removal of CO2 from the atmosphere - an essential basket of technologies for achieving UN IPCC best outcomes to mitigate climate change. This is a community for discussing advances and issues of CDR.

Thanks for the introduction!

Are you able to post further new messages here? Somehow for me this community seems to have a bug that I can't post new topics. Not sure what is causing this.

Hmm, I see that you were able to not only comment but also post in this community. I have been trying to share an article here, but It just keeps spinning. I have honestly no idea what might be the cause.

Edit: hmm another link worked.

I've been trying for a couple days to make a new post here to CDR but it also just keeps spinning. Tried with 3 different browsers (Chromium, Iridium, Firefox). The first two spike the CPU just looking at the CDR page, while Firefox does not, FWIW. This CPU spike doesn't occur with other community pages. I will try Five's suggestion to leave the post language blank and edit it later.

EDIT: It worked!

Can you check the language settings for this community? I think I have been trying to post explicitly posts as "English", which might fail if English is deselected as a allowed language in this community.

the language is "undetermined" and there is a caution message to not deselect that. But English should be allowed. For this comment I see "select language" and the only option is undetermined, which seems like it should be OK.

Hmm, then I don't know why it isn't allowing me to post a BBC article here. But never mind :)

A lot of communities have non-default language settings, which causes problems. The work-around I've found is to leave the post language blank on submission, and then edit the post once its saved to add the language later.

I tried this and it worked for me! Thank you!
