Despite all my good intentions my pain levels are really bad right now. Not sure if it the heat or if my body is just reminding me that it doesn't have to use my stomach to make me miserable.

As such, I will be stuck inside today, if I attempt to get sunscreen between my shoulders I this state I might end up in A&E. Wish the cricket were starting today instead of tomorrow, that would be a perfect excuse to not move at all. Also, I have some "ripen at home" plums I bought three weeks ago, they would be perfect for the nets...

Obviously don't know your circumstances, but living with pain of any sort is just so demoralising! Have you tried the likes of Sapphire Medical Clinics etc for prescribed cannabis meds? I get prescribed actual weed but also a tincture of 20mg/ml THC and 20mg/ml CBD and the stuff is a god send for my wife's rheumatoid arthritis. It's something like 50 quid for the intial consultation, and then 50 quid every 3 months for a check up consultation. Tincture is 30ml for £100 and that lasts the whole month.

Unfortunately I am not really in a financial position to do that. Many years ago I complained to my GP that a lot of my problems could be helped by cannabis, and he completely agreed! It was before any usage was approved in the UK, and he is retired now.

Until cannabis is available on an NHS prescription, it will remain on my wishlist. Daft really, they could save a fortune on my other meds.

Sorry to hear that mate.

I can't understand such an archaic outlook when it comes to legalisation in this country. Especially when countries around the world are legalising. Germany, legal for medical use since 2017 and I think they're looking at recreational now as well? Would save the NHS an absolute fortune. Some of the shit they prescribe is nuts. From about 14 I was prescribed 30/500 Co-codamols, that I was taking 4 times a day. I stopped when I, shockingly, became dependent. Doubt I'd have been able to lead the life I have without using weed as pain management.

Hopefully you find something that works mate!

That's some crazy strong pain killers for a 14 year old!! The nhs just don't seem to know how to deal with chronic pain, they offer things like cbt which might be OK for psychological issues but when it's a physical ailment then praying the pain away isn't going to work.

I am currently on 60mg of Codeine 4 x a day (on bad days, I can usually manage with less) as well as paracetamol and Naproxen. Add in my sleep meds, anxiety meds, stomach meds and they could save a fortune!

What really upsets me is that a shittonne of medical grade cannabis is grown in the UK, but it all - or at least most of it - is exported.

Those must play havoc with your stomach as well! It was actually being on naproxenn that gave the final motivation to try and get medical. I think they need you to have proven you've tried two types of medications for your symptons, and since co-codamol was a no, naproxenn giving me hella heartburn was pretty much all the justification they need in order to prescribe medicinal.

And aye, it's British Sugar as well that grows it! Mental.

There are clinics that have special prices for people on benefits. r/ukmedicalcannabis was where I used to go for information before all the drama. I get a prescription for sciatica and its helped me no end.
