Extensions possess more powers than many regular apps on your devices. This means that files on a computer might not be safe from the spying eye.

Yeah, like I don’t mind if an extensions reads everything if there is a valid reason for it to do so in order to function. It’s more about what it does with that info that I’d be concerned about. Process locally and perform a function? Fine. I just don’t want it phoning home.
