Are you sure? That quali format with fixed tires was a one-off test right? Afaik those rules don't apply now. They didn't apply in the quali yesterday either. I think it was just a wrong call from Aston

On the broadcast they asked AM and the response was it was never declared wet. They followed up with the FIA and were told it was an intentional decision to not declare wet. I think the trial was for regular quali, and the restriction was already in place for sprint quali.
