I'm not super familiar with how linking communities works here but I'll try my best.

If I browse the "technology" community on beehaw, it is quite active. If I sort by "hot" I see active posts from 1h ago as of this writing: https://beehaw.org/c/technology/data_type/Post/sort/Hot/page/1

So I am subscribed to that sub here on this instance, but if I view the community here and sort by "hot" the most recent post is from 1d ago. https://aussie.zone/c/[email protected]/data_type/Post/sort/Hot/page/1

But if I sort by "new", I do see those recent posts. So it seems just the sorting is different?

Maybe this isn't a big deal but it gives the impression that a community is much quieter than it actually is.
