Not an easy balance to make here.

A whole generation has already cashed in on property prices. Unfortunately Mah Bow Tan's policies have contributed to the divide between property haves and property have-nots. Now the government is stuck between two parties - those who have property investments want it to rise, those who don't yet have a house want affordable housing.

As someone in the latter camp I find it demoralising to see prices slowly creep higher and higher at a faster rate than my salary grows...

i don't like it either, but what's the alternative? Rent forever (and contribute to the racket) or go homeless?

Well it does seem increasingly less possible, but somehow for prices to fall I guess
