I live in the Pacific Northwest, zone 8b, and have pumpkins on the vine right now.
8b is the lower southern US.... I'm in it and I can't keep anything alive but peppers without daily watering and ridiculous amounts of care. Pretty sure you don't have your zone right.
I'm in USDA hardiness zone 8b, Portland Oregon.
Fuck, that's crazy. They really, reallllllyyyyy need to rethink how those zones are drawn now with global warming changes. My high/low temps are an average of 20 degrees above yours right now, yet we're the same zone somehow. I basically use zone 9-10 as guide cuz they're so wrong.
