I have been looking into some stuff and for now the Philips oneblade looks like the most interesting option to me, does someone maybe have experience with it? How long do the blades last? Or are there any other alternatives you would recommend?

Currently using Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/dVRylZo on subscribe and save, and have done for years after being stuffed by the big two for decades. Regularly flirt with the idea of a safety razor. I used to use a now defunct mail order in mainland Europe somewhere that made their own; I'm a Brit.

Change them every twelve days but I'm old now and that happens. I was lucky if a two- to six- blade one lasted a five days to a week in my twenties.

I have oily skin, less so now, so I have difficulties with electric razors, despite several attempts. They were enclosed though by the time I learned my lesson and the open style of one blade may be a worthwhile change.

What I'm saying is that there are several factors that dictate what works and it isn't a long term thing always.

I haven't found that Gillette or Wilkinson Sword were as sharp as the Amazon.
