Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Yes, I am quite familiar with the song, which has obviously not popped out of existence following the advent of the Internet.
No, but it did exist before the internet. That was what they meant, not that the strip magically transports to a time before the internet existed with the second panel.

There's tons of comments from nine hours ago, well after you apparently still didn't understand it, that do explain it if you want to understand it and not just be an obstinate internet troll.
No, they do not explain it. None of them explain it. Nobody has explained it. Do you understand it? Can you explain it?
I'm curious. If you think about it, what do you think might be the joke? I'm not asking you if it is a funny joke or a joke that you find funny. What do you think the creator intended to be the joke?
Something about cacti resembling the poses of ancient Egyptian carved figures.

Oh, so you're just pretending that you get it.
I do get it, bud, though I don't find it very funny. I'm trying to encourage you to do some critical thinking here. There is more to life than to be served the lowest common denominator of everything that everybody understands effortlessly.
Try to deconstruct from what your original idea was. It is part of the set up but not punchline. The context that is needed for the joke. There are other hints too and people have commented it in plain text.
Maybe I don't get it because it isn't funny.
It could be a contributing reason but I don't think that is why.
I was going to ask if you want me to help you figure it out, because it's growing the personality to solve problems and satisfying to figure something out - but considering you keep downvoting me trying to help you, I think I'll just swing my block hammer and be on my way.
