With how much vitriol this game has been receiving whenever it’s mentioned I’d assumed it was already out and people had played it to completion to be able to espouse such views.

I played it to completion (my uncle works at nintendo), and I can confirm that it's woke bullshit (there's both women AND black people in the game).

Making gamers pick one or the other is peak baiting, and I'm here for the inevitable fury from people who think Elon Musk is a genius.

Honestly it is a stroke of brilliance from Ubisoft. Bait the anti-woke crowd to drown out any legitimate complaints about your business practices or game design.

Anyone who would complain about game design has already stopped buying or caring about Ubisoft products years ago.

Certainly true, but we haven't stopped complaining.
