No special vinyl colour or added weight here. I realised I needed this, and I settled for whatever repress my vinyl pusher had on hand. I can upgrade later.
Foremost, this was a record that made me fall in love with the bass guitar, and realise that it's not just a backing instrument played by also-ran guitarists. Not a profound insight, but I was a teenager.
Same. "Dirt" is still an album I can put on once in a while, but the introspection and melancholy of "Jar of flies" just hits hard.
