What was life like for the average German middle class worker from 1930-1942? (self.askhistory)

What was it like for someone that was:

not associated with anyone related to those persecuted by Nazis
generally apolitical
a homebody type that minds their own business, while feeling powerless and largely apathetic to a less than ideal government

Let's say they were unemployed since November of 1929 going into 1930 with a family, 2.1 kids, and a house, with a BA in basket weaving or something otherwise mostly useless that checks the boxes for middle management. What was life like before the Russian Bear got woke for those 12 years before and during the Nazis?

The person first would have got a job easily, but got paid less over the time span or even lost their Job, because Jews and others would be abused as forced labourers, basically slaves.

Nearing the end of the time span, if they were male, they would probably have been conscripted into the Wehrmacht, as they had less than 8 kids. (Nearing the end of WW2 not even more than 8 kids would have saved them from the front lines.)
