Helldivers 2 was released 1 year ago on 2024-02-08. I can recall many defining moments during my time playing Helldivers 2 such as shooting a rock in the distance because it looked like a Charger or failing miserably at destroying a grounded Illuminate Warp Ship.

My favorite moment was completing the Dark Fluid Mission and getting swarmed by Shriekers during extraction.

Way back, one of the times we got pushed off the creek to Draupnier, a bunch of randos and I boosted the difficulty up to extreme for the first time. Random support weps, everyone had nothing but eagle airstrike and 500ks (almost mandatory meta at the time). We got stuck on with an endless hoard of hulks, tanks and devastators for 30 minutes constantly losing the precious inches we needed to push towards the base. It was intense and brutal. Made it down to our last reinforcement before we could actually break away and sneak for extract.

In hindsight we were just trash, and didn't understand how the ai worked, but hot damn will that slog stick with me. We all made it out, but I dropped back to hard strait after that failure. What a ride
