But cutting off access without any steps to fix it first will just lead to decisions being made without any data at all.

I can almost guarentee the next Dem administration will not take any steps to fix it either and will just start paying Politico again so kind of a wash for me. I think it's an accurate narrative, it is ridiculous that they were paying for this with tax dollars, even if they don't end up replacing it.
