Crazy 5 weeks is like the pinnacle of existence...
An average full time office worker in France would get 7 weeks, more at big companies that want to attract talents with better benefits. I had a job with 11 weeks. I used them all.
Yes, I'm in france and the classic is the 5 legal weeks plus 12-24 RTT (as the work week is 35h by law, the deal is thet you do 37.5 or 39 and get those extra days in compensation) days which are basically days you take when you want/need/can.
This is not affected at all by being sick ofc.
