When using this meme format, red is rad, blue is bad. The good thing is in the red, the bad thing is in the blue.
*smh* Kids these days.
mfw this meme format is old enough to drive O_o
Even that is already the bastardised way, right? Originally it was red for socially awesome, and blue for socially awkward.
So like:
Red penguin: Hooked up with 10/10 hottie last night
Blue penguin: Find out in the morning she's my cousin
All these memes started with pretty specific scenarios then over time as people reached the bottom of where you could take the trope they started enlarging in what you could use them for until you could pretty much use all of them interchangeably.
Good point. But on Lemmy, we tend to reverse those colors so it actually kinda works perfectly.
Upvotes are orange and downvotes are blue on reddit. On Lemmy, upvotes are blue and downvotes are orange/red. Reddits whole brand revolves around orange.
Lemmy doesn't have a well established brand identity and it doesn't really need one imo. But if it did, it would probably be blue/green, along the lines of how join-lemmy looks.
Pretty much exactly like the Jedi versus the Sith π
Itβs not a Reddit-exclusive thing, though, so I donβt think the colors relate to upvote/downvote colors
True, but I also wanted to share that information
