YouTube already has a 2x speed multiplier for videos that seem to go on a little too long. The company...

It takes an experimental version to change an arbitrary video speed limit from 2x to 4x?

Sure, it might need to be a completely different algorithm to be able to maintain pitch and clarity at that speed. I've seen 3X in podcast apps, but I've never seen 4X.

4x cooperates better with harmonic frequencies than 3x. Learn some music/acoustic theory and technology.

Wow, being a dick much? How in the world did my reply offend you?

Math and science isn't a dick, nor a Richard.

Go read Harper's Music Dictionary, try learning some stuff on your own.

Saying "Try learning some X" the way you did is an insult. That's not a polite way to refute someone's comment. It's just like saying "you're ignorant".

If you had simply said your first sentence about the harmonics and left it at that, I would have replied, "Oh yeah, okay, that's a good point."

Instead, you were a dick about it. Just letting you know how those words come across on the internet. Maybe you wouldn't take those same words that way if they were said to you, but I did, and so would lots of other people.

Okay. Then try learning guitar tuning and 2x/4x harmonics. Way easier than learning 3x harmonics.

If I sound like a dick about it, maybe you can hear the harmonics of my dick. I don't care about your opinion of not researching stuff, I actually spent 6 years repairing guitars, and wrote my own tuner algorithm.

Wow, you just doubled down rather than showing me even a shred of understanding of my perspective...

People like you only deserve to be blocked.

This thread all started regarding their arbitrary speed limit on fast forward YouTube Premium.

They already have all the technology they need to do 100x speed playback, if they wanted to. All they'd probably have to do is change one restricting constant in their code.

Go ahead and block me if you find learning things offensive though, I only suggested educating yourself.
