"MainStream Media", and saying "you shouldn't read/listen to mainstream media" is literally a propaganda tactic invented by Joseph Goebbels.

Interesting too that neither Left nor Right are immune to this style of propaganda, and as things get increasingly more insane it’ll only get worse.

Corporate interests co-opting and playing the biases of the media giants against each other absolutely doesn’t help restore confidence in accurate news, either…

Not sure what the solution is, but right now we’re seeing what happens when politicians use scare tactics to make the other party into the evil “other.” Great for getting votes/staying in office, but so so destructive to the democratic process.

Free public owned media helps, but that's getting more and more rare. Social media doesn't help necessarily, many have algorithms that can be used to push certain narratives, and even places like lemmy without such rigged algorithms can be gamed to do so.

It's a constant battle, people need to be educated and remain vigilant - in particular they need to read multiple sources with differing views and learn to recognise their biases and account for that to establish the objective truth.

Most of all Manipulation Stream media is owned by Corporations and the 1 percent. So tell me I'm wrong.

I'm not trying to tell you that you're wrong about media ownership or biases. I'm saying that you shouldn't exclude sources just because you think they're biased, as that will only play into your own biases. You should read/listen to/watch all sources, as many as practicable, and try to recognise and account for their biases in order to figure out the objective truth.
