Half of Reddit going dark on Monday seems like it's probably going to have a fair few people looking for alternatives.
Ah is that when they make their API paid? Haven't been following that news really, I must confess I'm not a Reddit user, just happened to have setup this server at the same time that API news got out..
Ah right sorry, that'll teach me to assume.
I'm not sure when the change is supposed to come in but I do know a lot of the big subs are basically shutting down for 2 days in protest, starting Monday. So naturally there's been a lot of talk of Lemmy coming up, I think we should probably brace ourselves for a "Mastodon last November" type situation.
